Tiki No is a great tiki bar in North Hollywood…
Frankie’s Tiki Room – Las Vegas, Nevada
A lot of Vegas vacationers stick to the strip because it is both fun and convenient. But we think that you’re missing out if you don’t take a side trip (or two) away from the strip to visit Frankie’s Tiki Room. Frankie’s has been serving up tropical cocktails since 2008. It’s open 24 hours a day and, of course, you can do a little gambling while you drink if you aren’t too busy making new friends over a couple of rounds.
We stopped by Frankie’s on our last road trip to Vegas. It’s only a short drive from the strip and it’s easy to find. They have a small parking lot right out front if, like us, you’re driving. That said, it’s a very good idea to take a cab back and forth because you’re probably not going to want to stop after just one round.
The interior is exactly what you want to see in a tiki bar – all designed by Bamboo Ben – and it holds more people than you might think. This is a good thing, since the bar can get pretty busy at night. If you time your visit for the middle of the day, you’ll have a little more room to stretch your legs and take in the details of the decor while you have a drink.
The menu is a mix of original and classic tiki cocktails. Their signature creations are served in their signature tiki mugs, but you can actually get any cocktail with a mug, so don’t feel limited (as though that were possible) when perusing the menu. They have a big selection of mugs to choose from, though we are partial to Frankie’s Tiki Bandit Mug, whose mouth is loaded with shiny silver coins, and recommend starting your Frankie’s collection with him. In the above picture, we’re drinking a Tiki Bandit cocktail and a Pikake (in the martini glass).
Don’t forget to check out the art in the bathrooms before you head out the door. They’ll call you a cab – you’ll probably need it.
